Rick’s Prayer — July 8, 2026

Wed, Jul 8, 2026 7:56pm — It’s time to prepare for the what if since the what if is going to happen

Lord, thank you for Nathan French and his story. Thank you for the miracles we are seeing. Put me in a secret place where I can only hear from you. No spirit, but the Holy Spirit, the Father and the Son. I submit my mind, my eyes and my ears to you. [Private words for Rick….]

Yes, Lord. How are you tonight?

The Word from the Lord — July 8, 2026

I am well, and I am moving on the hearts of people who do not know me, and I need my body to stand up and get ready for this harvest. The evil and tyranny that has reared its head up these last few years are awakening many people to the true spiritual war that is at hand. This reveal of the evil will accelerate greatly in these coming months, so prepare to help others come to know me. Each of you has a path, and I am preparing all of you to expand and not shrink, to move forward and not backward. So sit with me and ask me what I am preparing for you. I will go before you, and if you have a renewed mind in my word and are listening to my voice, you will see a clear path to where I want you to be. So do not lean on your own understanding, as some of you will be confused, and this is why I ask you to walk by faith and not by sight and to trust me with all your heart.

Nothing will be perfect, and the road I put you on may seem hard, but this road leads to life and a life to the full. Again, I have a race specifically marked out for you and I want you to run it with perseverance and thanksgiving. We have little time to prepare for the onslaught of people I will be sending my church. The current corrupt structure of many churches and ministries needs to be reformed and prepared for expansion. So again I say, come to me for specific directions as a great harvest is near. Throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, as it is time to help my new people into our kingdom. Help them not just come to know me as their savior, but help disciple them. I did not say baptize them, rejoice and move on; I asked you to make disciples. So prepare your infrastructure, prepare your minds to receive my favor and new and exciting people to join you. Do not be stingy, do not think small. I need each of you to think about what if. What if God gives me favor, what if God expands my tents, what if God sends me hurting people. It’s time to prepare for the what if since the what if is going to happen.

(end of word)

A Call to Readiness

This word is a clear call to readiness. The Lord is not asking us to shrink back or stay comfortable. He is asking us to prepare our hearts, our infrastructure, and our capacity to receive and disciple the people He is about to send. The harvest is near. The what if is coming. Now is the time to get ready.

Questions About the July 8, 2026 Prophetic Word

What does it mean to have a renewed mind according to Scripture?

In Romans 12:2, Paul calls believers not to conform to the pattern of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of their minds. In this July 8 word, the Lord connects a renewed mind directly to the ability to perceive the clear path He has prepared — without a renewed mind anchored in Scripture and attentive to His voice, His people will miss the specific direction He is giving for this harvest season.

What is the great harvest of souls the Lord is speaking about?

The Lord describes a coming wave of people whose hearts He is already moving on — individuals who do not yet know Him but who are being awakened by the increasing exposure of evil and spiritual darkness in the world. This harvest of souls is not abstract or distant. He states plainly that the Church must prepare its infrastructure and capacity now, because the people are coming. The call is urgent, concrete, and immediate.

What is the difference between baptizing converts and making disciples — and why does the Lord emphasize it here?

The Lord draws a sharp distinction: He did not commission His Church merely to baptize people, celebrate, and move on. The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 is to make disciples — to walk alongside new believers, teach them, ground them in truth, and build genuine relationship. In this word, the Lord warns that the current structure of many churches is not set up for this level of intentional discipleship and must be reformed before the harvest arrives.

How does the Lord call His people to walk by faith and not by sight in this season?

Citing 2 Corinthians 5:7 and Proverbs 3:5, the Lord acknowledges that the path He is placing people on may look difficult or confusing from the outside. He warns against leaning on human understanding in this season because what He is calling many to do will not make immediate earthly sense. Walking by faith means trusting His specific direction rather than waiting for circumstances to confirm it visually first.

What does the Lord mean by a life to the full, and how does it connect to the hard road?

Referencing John 10:10, the Lord acknowledges that the road He assigns may feel hard — but He clarifies that this road, however difficult it appears, leads to true abundance. He also connects throwing off every hindrance and entangling sin to the ability to actually run that race. A life to the full is not a comfortable, unchallenged life — it is a life fully surrendered to His purpose and unhindered by compromise.

How does the Lord connect the exposure of evil in end times to the spiritual harvest?

The Lord makes a direct causal connection: the reveal of tyranny and evil that has been accelerating is itself an instrument of awakening. People who would not otherwise have turned toward God are being shaken out of complacency by what they are witnessing in the world. This means that spiritual warfare and end-times spiritual harvest are not separate phenomena — the darkness is actively driving people toward the light, and the Church must be positioned to receive them when they arrive.

What does church reformation look like in preparation for this harvest and revival?

The Lord identifies the current structure of many churches and ministries as corrupt and insufficiently prepared for expansion. Church reformation in this context means practically rebuilding the infrastructure — the relational systems, the discipleship pipelines, the leadership capacity — so that a sudden influx of new, hurting people can be genuinely cared for and discipled rather than processed and abandoned. Revival without reformation to support it produces shallow roots.

What is the prophetic word for the Church in 2026 according to this word from the Lord?

The central prophetic word for the Church in 2026, as received by Rick Rene on July 8, is a call to active preparation: prepare your minds through Scripture, prepare your infrastructure for expansion, and prepare your heart to think in terms of what if God actually does what He says. The Lord is not asking His people to wait and see — He is telling them the harvest is coming and demanding readiness before it arrives.

What does the Lord mean when He says to think about the “what if” — and why is that spiritually significant?

The Lord uses “what if” as a posture of expectant faith rather than wishful thinking. He specifically names three: What if God gives me favor? What if God expands my tents? What if God sends me hurting people? These are not hypotheticals — He closes by declaring that the what if is going to happen. The spiritual significance is in the preparation: most believers live as though God’s big promises are unlikely. This word demands that they flip that assumption and begin building as though the promise is already in motion.

What is Rick’s Alone Time with God (RATWG)?
Rick’s Alone Time with God is a regular practice by Rick Rene of FaithNFreedom in which he withdraws to spend focused, uninterrupted time in prayer and listening before the Lord, then shares what he hears — prophetic words, impressions, and Scripture — with the FaithNFreedom community at faithnfreedom.social. These sessions are published as a recurring series and serve as a primary vehicle for prophetic words Rick receives for the Church. Each RATWG post preserves Rick’s prayer and the Lord’s word verbatim, exactly as received, without editorial alteration.
What does the prophetic word received on July 8, 2026 say about the coming harvest of souls?
In the July 8, 2026 prophetic word, the Lord told Rick Rene that He is already moving on the hearts of people who do not yet know Him and that His body needs to stand up and get ready for the harvest. He described the coming harvest of souls as imminent, driven in part by the accelerating exposure of evil and tyranny that is awakening people to the real spiritual war underway. He called the Church to prepare its infrastructure, expand its capacity, and think in terms of expectant faith — specifically asking what if God sends hurting people — because, as He stated, the what if is going to happen.
What Bible verse does the Lord reference about renewing the mind, and what does it mean for this season?
The Lord’s reference in this word connects directly to Romans 12:2, which calls believers to be transformed by the renewing of their minds rather than conforming to the pattern of this world. In the July 8, 2026 word, the Lord specifically links a renewed mind in His word to the ability to perceive the clear path He has prepared for each person. Without Scripture-grounded renewal of thought, His people risk following human logic into confusion rather than following His voice into the specific direction He has prepared for the harvest season ahead.
How are end-times signs and spiritual warfare connected to the great harvest in this prophetic word?
The Lord draws a direct line between the intensifying exposure of evil — political tyranny, corruption, and darkness becoming more visible — and the awakening of souls who are searching for truth. He states that this reveal of evil will accelerate greatly in the coming months. Rather than viewing end-times signs and spiritual warfare as reasons for the Church to retreat, He frames them as the very mechanism driving new people toward Him. The Church’s role is not to be alarmed but to be ready — spiritually, relationally, and structurally — to receive the people this awakening will produce.
What is the Great Commission call to make disciples, and why does this word emphasize it over baptism?
The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 does not end at baptism — it calls for making disciples, teaching them to observe everything Christ commanded. In this prophetic word, the Lord explicitly distinguishes between the two: He says He did not ask His Church to baptize people, rejoice, and move on. He asked His Church to make disciples. This distinction is critical in the context of a coming harvest, because large numbers of new believers who are not discipled will not take root. The Lord is calling His people to build the relational and teaching infrastructure that turns a conversion moment into a lifetime of growth.
What does it mean for a church to be a disciple-making church, according to this word?
According to the July 8, 2026 prophetic word, a disciple-making church is one that has deliberately prepared its infrastructure, leadership, and relational capacity to walk new believers through genuine growth — not merely to process them through a salvation prayer and celebrate their attendance. The Lord specifically identifies the current corrupt structure of many churches as a problem that must be reformed before the harvest. A disciple-making church thinks expansively, prepares practically, and operates with the expectation that God is about to send it hurting, hungry people who need more than a Sunday service.
What does the Lord say about church reform and revival in 2026?
The Lord’s July 8 word identifies existing church structures as insufficiently prepared for the harvest He is sending, calling them reformed and rebuilt for expansion rather than maintained in their current form. He connects this directly to revival: revival without structural reformation to support discipleship produces shallow-rooted believers who do not persevere. He calls leaders to come to Him for specific directions — not general inspiration, but targeted, actionable guidance on how to expand and reform their particular ministry or church context in preparation for the people He is about to send in 2026 and beyond.
How should believers pray during spiritual warfare in this season, according to this prophetic word?
The Lord’s word on July 8, 2026 does not outline a specific spiritual warfare prayer formula, but it does provide posture: submit your mind, eyes, and ears to the Holy Spirit (as Rick models in his opening prayer), ask the Lord for specific directions rather than relying on human understanding, and approach this season from a position of expansion rather than defense. Walking by faith and not by sight — anchored in 2 Corinthians 5:7 — is the foundation of effective spiritual warfare prayer in this context, combined with throwing off every hindrance and sin that would reduce the believer’s effectiveness in the coming harvest.
What does throwing off every weight and sin mean in the context of preparing for the harvest?
The Lord’s reference in this word echoes Hebrews 12:1 — throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and run with perseverance the race marked out for you. In the context of the July 8, 2026 prophetic word, this is specifically a call to preparation for service, not just personal holiness in the abstract. The reason to throw off hindrances is that there are new people coming who need to be helped into the kingdom, and a Church or individual believer entangled in sin or compromise is structurally unable to receive and disciple those people effectively. Purity and preparation are functionally inseparable here.
What is the role of hearing from God in navigating the prophetic direction for this season?
The Lord explicitly states in this word that His people must come to Him for specific directions — not generalities, not borrowed vision, but individual, conversation-level guidance for what He is preparing each person and each ministry to do. He promises that those with a renewed mind in His word and ears tuned to His voice will see a clear path. Hearing from God prophetically in this season is not optional mysticism; it is the practical mechanism by which each believer discerns their specific role in the coming harvest rather than defaulting to a generic or inherited church activity that may not match what the Lord is building.
What does the prophetic word mean when it says God is calling you to think about the what if?
When the Lord says to think about the what if in the July 8, 2026 word, He is confronting a low-expectation posture that many believers hold unconsciously — the assumption that God’s large promises are unlikely to touch them personally. He names three specific what-ifs: favor, expansion of tents, and being sent hurting people. Each of these is a concrete scenario, not an abstraction. He then closes the word by removing the uncertainty entirely: It’s time to prepare for the what if since the what if is going to happen. The call is to act now as though the promise is already in motion, because it is.
